May has been a month full of miracles and promises in our household.
On May 1, my husband went in to the hospital - he had been told he was in kidney failure and had to go on dialysis immediately. It turned out he needed a heart valve replaced.
He did have a few sessions of dialysis as the dye used in the heart surgery did affect the kidneys, however on Saturday, May 29, he went in for the dialysis and the Nurse Practitioner said that after looking at the labs he did not need dialysis.
She said to go back on Tuesday and if necessary, they would do a short dialysis
(usually takes 4 hours).
She also said that they would do labs again and in all probability they would remove the dialysis catheter on June 8 as HIS KIDNEY FUNCTION WAS RESTORED!!!
